In 2020, I started hiking north from the Mexican border. I continued until I had covered over 13,000 miles in 48 states. I walked across deserts and over mountains. I encountered mountain lions and grizzly bears. I found pristine alpine lakes, I found roaring waterfalls, and I found untouched meadows.
But mostly, I found myself.
