Portrait 34: Cocoa

Meet Cocoa, the first dog of the Buckeye Trail!

Since the trail begins in downtown Cincinnati and meanders through suburbs, I've seen quite a few dogs. The humans, however, have mostly been too busy to stop and chat. I saw Cocoa's little legs zooming down the path, and I had to ask for a picture.

Cocoa's people stopped long enough to let me grab a few photos, but we didn't get time to talk much. All I really learned is that they're just visiting, and Cocoa loves her walks. She sat down as instructed but kept turning her head to sniff the smells and hear the sounds of a barn nearby.

I didn't realize until I was focusing the shot that this pup only has one eye. Even so, she was extraordinarily excited to keep playing outside. She didnt seem to care at all, as long as she got to go on her walk with her people.

All I wanted was a portrait of an adorable dog. It's pretty cool that I also got a little moment of inspiration.
